Dana Biechonski Fernandes

Short bio:

Dana Biechonski Fernandes is a Somatic Psychotherapist and Certified Supervisor from Bodynamic International, the Danish school for somatic developmental psychology. She has maintained a private practice since 2014 and works internationally, supporting people with a wide range of body–mind and psychosomatic symptoms through an embodied, nervous-system-based approach.

In her clinical and teaching work, Dana weaves together somatic psychology, psychomotor research, a deep understanding of the nervous system, and fascia, exploring the relationship between connective tissue, trauma, and regulation — always held with a warm, attuned presence. She is a member of the Fascia Research Society and the European Association for Body Psychotherapy (EABP) and serves on the board of the Association for Bodynamic Psychology (ABP).

Dana’s work is deeply integrative, grounded in parallel professional trainings across psychotherapy, bodywork, and movement education, as well as a long-standing background in transpersonal psychotherapy that began in her teens and shaped the foundation of her path. By bridging hands-on manual work, somatic psychotherapy, and movement awareness, she supports healing through multiple entry points — honoring the body, emotions, and mind as one system.

Within the ABP, Dana contributed to community and professional initiatives, including support groups for Ukrainians during the first year of the war. She is also the creator and facilitator of The Family Playground, a project fostering playful movement and embodied connection between parents and children, and The Playground, a program introducing embodiment practices within psychotherapeutic schools that are often more focused on cognitive or verbal approaches.

She’s an international pre- and perinatal educator — specializing in prenatal memory — certified through the Association of Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Health and is devoted to protecting the consciousness and sentience of babies from the very begininng of life. Her path has been shaped by years of immersion in indigenous communities and Amazonian healing traditions, apprenticing with elders and wisdom keepers in Hawai‘i, Canada, and Peru. She has several developed pioneering programs—including Transcribing Living Memory, Transform Into Birth, Luminescence Fertility and Pre-Proconception Program and a 9-Month Luminous Birth Practitioner Mentorship Program—guiding individuals and couples through life’s most profound thresholds of conception, pregnancy, and birth. Luminous Birth’s programs transcend the most breakthrough models of fertility, preconception, and prenatal care — embodying the unseen dimensions that sit at the core of cultivating humans who thrive lifelong in love, health, belonging and interconnectedness.

As the founder of Luminous Birth, Victoria’s mission is to revive family culture on our planet, by re-fertilizing humanity—recognizing that the psycho-neuro-immuno-endocrinological developement of all human beings are informed by our core beliefs about whether or not we’re loved, welcomed, and belong in our family, community and world. Family creation is inseparably linked with the health of Mother Earth, and the flourishing of all sentient life.
